Mangaluru: 10-month old infant with no travel history tests positive for Coronavirus

Mangaluru: A 10-month old infant who was admitted to a hospital for respiratory problems, has tested positive for Coronavirus. The infant belongs to Sajipanadu Village of Bantwal Taluk, and has been admitted to a hospital in Mangaluru for treatment.

The infant was reportedly admitted to a private hospital at Derlakatte on March 23, as he was suffering from respiratory problems.  The following day the throat swabs of the infant was sent for COVID-19 testing.

Reports of the tests arrived on Friday morning confirming that the infant was infected with COVID-19.
