The Muzaffarnagar school shut , Muslim student who got beaten up
The school is owned by Tripta Tyagi, the teacher who is accused of making communal remarks and ordering the children to hit their classmate – ostensibly because he got his multiplication tables wrong.
AUTHORITIES IN Muzaffarnagar on Sunday sealed a private school in Khubbapur village, where a seven-year-old boy was beaten by other students on instructions from their teacherearlier this week.
The teacher, Tripta Tyagi (60), had allegedly referred to the boy’s faith and talked pejoratively about “Mohammedan children” as she asked other students to beat the boy “hard”. The boy’s family said he was beaten up for a mistake in multiplication tables.
Tyagi, who also owns Neha Public School where the incident took place on Thursday, has been booked under IPC sections 323 (causing hurt) and 504 (intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of peace). Police said she has not been arrested yet since the sections are bailable.
