“Only one check-in bag will be allowed and airlines will not provide meal services on board. Passengers will have to reach the airport at least two-hours before the departure and are required to wear face masks,” the ministry said.

The guidelines states that elderly and pregnant women, and people with health issues should avoid travel. “Passengers staying in the containment zone will not be allowed to travel. If they have been tested positive for COVID-19, they should not travel.” It said passengers with ‘red’ status on the Aarogya Setu app will not be permitted to travel.

The ministry said its for the state governments and local administrations to ensure the availability of public transport and private cabs for connectivity to the airport for passengers. “Passengers may also have to quarantine upon reaching their destination depending on norms decided by the state governments.”
