Gurugram: In a communal violence that took place in Gurugram, on Friday a man, Nurul, was brutally thrashed by some men and left on the roadside. FIR has been filed and raids are being conducted to nab the accused.
Nurul, 30 is a pediatrician by profession and is originally from Uttarakhand, currently living near wazirabad village in sector 52.
“I was returning after buying milk for Iftar in my car, when suddenly 2 men came in a white Forturner and started abusing me without any reason.
When I told them that they were on the wrong side of the road, they called 8-9 more men who brutually thrashed me with sticks.
I tried calling the police, but fell unconscious due to the injuries on the road side”. Nurul told the Police.
The police later reached on spot and took him to the Civil Hospital. He has received many injuries on his eyes, head and legs. In the FIR filed by Nurul, he mentioned that he had come to Ardee City in the evening just to buy milk.
“I could not understand why I was being thrashed” He says.
In his statements given to the police, he also mentions that he heard 2 of the men saying that he (Nurual) is muslim and they should leave, otherwise there are chances that riots might take place.
He does not know any of the accused and hence, they remain unidentified till date.
The FIR has been registered against the unknown accused under sections 147 (rioting), 149 (Unlawful assembly), 323 (causing hurt), and 506 (criminal intimidation) of the Indian Penal Court at sector 53 police station.
