IPS officer Madhukar Shetty put on ECMO treatment in Hyderabad
Bengaluru, Dec. 27 : senior IPS officer and the Deputy Director of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy, Hyderabad Madhukar Shetty, who is being treated at a private hospital in Hyderabd is now put on ECMO support system, a source said.
Madhukar who was earlier said to be suffering from H1N1 is now being treated for a heart ailment. A reliable source said that the ECMO has been done successfully and he is now shifted to ICU . He will be under 24×7 monitoring. It is said that the recuperation will be slow initially. But, the medical team is confident that once recovery picks up, he is expected to do better.
Prathap Reddy, ADGP , Karnataka is in Hyderabad and coordinating with the medical team of Continental Hospital, Madhukar’s family members, Hyderabd Police and also the experts from Bengaluru and other places to give the best possible treatment to the senior police officer.
Stephen Ravindra, IGP Hyderabad and Sajjanar, the Commissioner of Cyberabad are at the forefront with active and are fully supported by Telangana DGP Mahender Reddy. Madhukar’s colleagues at National Police academy are also cooperating with the family. DGP of Karnataka ,Neelamani Raju, is constantly monitoring the situation and trying to give every possible support for the treatment of the officer, said sources.
