INDIRA CANTEEN TO PROVIDE FREE FOOD TO POOR AND DEPRIVEDCOVID-19 LOCKDOWN

The government of Karnataka on Saturday said that the state run Indira canteen would provide food packets free of cost to the poor and deprived in amid of lockdown.
The canteen would run in three timetable from 7:30 AM to 10 AM,12:30 PM to 3 PM, the government said in public statement. During the timetable hours, street side seller, labourers and needy would be provided food free of cost.
After meeting, CM of Karnataka had said food packets will be provided to the needy with the help of some organisation and to sought the help of everyone in this regard.
The state sponsored, support `Indira canteens` as of new serves breakfast as Rs. 5 and lunch and dinner at Rs. 10. The government asked people to maintain the cleanliness and staff who serves food should compulsory use of masks and hand gloves. The also asked people to maintain one metre distance from each person while standing in the queue.
Earlier, a day before proclaiming that food would be provided free for daily wagers in canteen, Yediyurappa had said it has been decided that the canteens will not be opened, after realizing it was leading to crowd, which drew censure.
