In a recent tweet, the government has informed that the flights would be resumed and people can travel- only via the domestic lanes. The flights had earlier been stopped due to the Rosie in the number of COVID-19 cases in the country and the number of increasing deaths.
Due to the nationwide lockdown, the aviation industry has faced huge losses, for the same and thus the economy also crumbled as a result of the same lockdown. It all came as a respite for people who are stuck in different places, and can’t shift, the tweet by Mr Hardeep Singh Puri, who is the civil aviation minister, stated that ” Domestic civil aviation operations will recommence in a calibrated manner from Monday 25th May”. There was an argument, which said that the middle seat of the airplanes would be kept vaccant. However, this didn’t seem to be fit, as the ministry felt that the prices of the air tickets would shoot up high. Social distancing would be properly ensured and maintained strictly in the food court areas and at the entry point, people would be contactless and physical distancing would be followed properly. It was presumed earlier, that the flights would be remaining to be restrained till 31st May, but since already many trains and cargo flights and the special flights were already active, the decision to restart the flights was taken.

India currently has more than 100,000 cases and 3,000 plus people have died.
