Doctor killed as his speeding sports bike hits median

BENGALURU: A 27-year-old doctor was killed after he lost control of his speeding sports bike and hit a median near Byatarayanapura signal on Ballari Road elevated expressway on Sunday morning.

Mohammed Nishad, a resident of Adugodi, and working for a private hospital in Hoskote, was killed on the spot, said Hebbal traffic police .

Nishad, from Kerala, was heading to Nandi Hills with a group of friends when the accident happened at 7.45am. Naveed, one of the bikers in the group, sustained injuries when his two-wheeler fell after Nishad, who was ahead of him, met with the accident. The accident caused a traffic jam in the morning.

Sarah Fathima, deputy commissioner of police (traffic north), said preliminary probe indicated that it was an accident caused by Nishad. He is is survived by his parents and brother
