CM Yediyurappa agrees to centre’s plan of extending lockdown till May 15
Bengaluru: Chief Minister BS Yeddyurappa has agreed to the central government’s plans to extend the lockdown imposed to prevent the spread of coronavirus till May 15. During this period, the sale of liquor will not be allowed, Yediyurappa informed to PM Modi.
In a video conversation with the chief ministers of all states held on Monday regarding controlling of the COVID-19 and lockdown implementation, Yediyurappa appealed the prime minister to allow to relax the lockdown restrictions and conduct commercial activities in the areas which are not affected by coronavirus and have been marked as Green Zone.
However, it is learned that Prime Minister Modi has made no promise to allow economic activity in the uninfected green zones. Yadagiri, Koppal, Shivamogga, Chikkmagaluru, Kolar, Chamarajanagar, Raichur, Haveri, and Hassan (except Ramanagar district) are in the Green Zone.
