Arun Jaitley passes away: BJP stalwart dies at 66, last rites to be held tomorrow

New Delhi | Jagran News Desk: Senior BJP leader and former Finance Minister Arun Jaitley passed away on Saturday after suffering from kidney ailment. He was 66.

He was admitted to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in New Delhi on August 9 after he complained of palpitations and restlessness.

15:58 pm: Mortal remains of former Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley brought to his residence from All India Institute of Medical Sciences, where he passed away, earlier today.

14:49 pm: Jaitley’s body will be taken to his Kailash Colony residence after formalities are completed at the AIIMS. On Sunday morning, his body will be taken to the BJP headquarters where leaders across the political spectrum are expected to pay their last respects.
